Alejandro Pawliszyn, Licensed Professional Counselor

Hello!

Thank you for visiting. I hope to be of help.

I offer counseling sessions with two focuses: mental health treatment and support for complex change.

I can be of help in the treatment of depression, anxiety, unhealthy habits, and other conditions that cause distress and impairment. I also work with people who are facing challenges and want to start significant personal change, through self-examination, learning, and progressive intentional actions.

My approach is collaborative, with a strong focus on the uniqueness of your needs, history, challenges and strengths. Together, we define priorities and goals, and work to build awareness and skills to support the change you want.

For the past 22 years, I’ve been fortunate to work with inspiring colleagues and clients in both clinic and private practice settings, in New York, Portland, and more recently Buenos Aires. See the Resume section for more information. I rely on such rich clinical experiences, and a host of resources derived from philosophy, psychology, science, the humanities, and my own mindfulness practices to support clients. Your own current experiences, wisdom, and strenghts will also be a significant part of the work we do.

I consult with colleagues and engage in ongoing trainings and personal growth to support my work with clients.
Diversity and the celebration of diversity are very important for quality care and the health of our community. I try my best to help create an environment of safety, trust, and genuine celebration for the uniqueness of each of our journeys. I look forward to getting to know you and will be honored to be part of your counseling process.

I am currently available for Zoom sessions throughout Oregon, and have availability for early AM appointments. I am currently located in Buenos Aires, but I am as available, responsive and engaged as when in Portland. My local Portland phone line is always with me.

My services are not able to provide support, at this time, for crisis or life-threatening circumstances. In such cases, please seek support through your most immediate available sources of support, including a trusted person, 911 or local hospital.

If you are interested, and want to find out more information about possibly working together, send me a note. We can set up a no-cost consultation time to speak.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Alejandro
